The support provided to young people, their families and setting staff is important. Dr Sharon Lourd-Moyo BSC(Hons), PGCE, MSc, C.Psychol, Ed. Doc, AFBPsS who established Principle Psychology Practice is committed to providing high quality, inclusive, sensitively delivered psychology services to young people, their families, school and setting staff in a systemic, positive and proactive manner.
Dr Lourd-Moyo is qualified as an Educational Psychologist, she continues to work as an Educational Psychologist, Senior Practitioner within an Educational Psychology Service in a large County Council. Dr Lourd-Moyo has worked as an Educational Psychologist for 27 years, working with children and young people from 0-19 years, now 0-25 years, with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Her role involves working either directly or in directly with children and young people with learning difficulties (general and specific), communication needs (delayed language and more complex language conditions), SEMH issues, Sensory, Physical and Medical needs.
Dr Lourd-Moyo's work with children and young people has involved work with families, teachers, support staff and other professionals. Experience has been amassed through both a generic and specialist capacity. Work involvement has been at the individual, group and systemic level.
For a number of years Dr Lourd-Moyo has maintained a special interest in Deafness. She has worked in mainstream schools resourced to meet the needs of Profoundly Deaf children, and within 'out of county' specialist provision supporting staff and young people. Dr Lourd-Moyo also has an interest in Autism, she has extensive experience working with children and young people with social communication difficulties.

Developing and delivering personalised training packages to settings in areas such as:
The aim of the training will be to assist educational settings and other organisational settings to improve their responsiveness to the range of needs children and young people may experience.
Therapeutic interventions for young people using Cognitive Behavior Therapy or a Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach to address a range of issues, ranging from difficulties arising from anxiety, attachment needs, bereavement or loss. The approach used will reflect the needs of the young person and the systems they are operating within.
